We got married there June of this year 2007, it was just faboulous. Fr O'Brien was terrific in every way, he had most of the wedding orginised before we arrived, and helped in every way possible to make it a wounderful cermony.
I would highly recommed getting married there.

What a discovery

With so many amazing pieces of architecture and places to visit, a trip to Rome is like trying to eat a chocolate gateau, lovely for the first couple of bites, but after a while ... overwhelming. San Silvestro is kust one of the little jewels that is worth a visit (Even if it is to avoid the crowds on Via Del Corso). Father Denis has been resdient at "In Capite" for decades and is a welcoming soul. A spiritually cool and calm place combined with a grand interior makes this a fantastic place to spend a quiet moment.

The most perfect of weddings

When my fiance and I planned to get married in August '05 we decided to get married in San Silvestro as that is where my parents got married in Sept.'77. Brother Buckley and Father O'Brien were both so helpful in the organisation of our wedding. Fr. O'Brien made us both feel so relaxed when we arrived in Rome and went through the ceremony with us. On the Saturday before we got married we went to San Silvestro to go ovder everything for the wedding day the following Wednesday. My parents were talking to Fr. O'Brien about their own wedding there and it transpired that Fr. Freeman who had married them was in holiday at Rome at the time and he was able to marry Paul and I. It really made our weddibg day so special. If you are planning to get married in Rome I really recommend that you consider San Silvestro. It is the most beautiful church and amazing setting for a wedding. My parents even renewed their vows the day after our wedding. It has been lucky for them so hopefully Paul and I will be as happy and long lasting as them. I'm sure if you get married there you will also be blessed with God's love and guidance for your married life together.
