She is currently engrossed in Ben Hogan's "Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf" (not a manga for teenaged girls) and is determined to become a better golfer than Tommy before they marry.

Tommy is a 3D animator in the video game industry. One day, when video games can animate themselves, he will quit the field and go to culinary school (but not become a pastry chef, to Joyce's disappointment). His greatest goal is achieving early retirement so that he and Joyce can travel and play video games without causing him to think about frame rates and the like. He loves golf too, but is not as insanely competitive as Joyce is.
