Our first encounter with each other was at the Cybershed email cafe in Rotorua in 2001. We were friends of friends and little were we to know that we would see each other again, let alone spend the rest of our lifes together.

A few months later, we bumped into each other whilst out night clubbing in Rotorua. We'd both lost our friends for the night so decided to play companions for each other, and ended up having such a great night together. Night turned into morning and the rest they say is history.

6 months later Rangi moved in, just before Christmas.
In 2004 we went on holiday and Rangi met my family in Wales.
In 2005 we moved to Hamilton and both attended University.
In 2007 we moved to Tauranga where we are now.

The proposal

Rangi didn't want a big party for his 30th, but I had different ideas. So suprise party here we came. It didn't turn out to be that big a party, but I did successfully invite some people behind his back, or so I thought.

It turned out that Rangi planned to propose to me that night, so had rung around everyone letting them know and inviting them himself.

So to my utter suprise half way through the night with our close friends around us, he pulls me aside and gets down on one knee infront of everyone. ...

A suprise for him turned into a suprise for me!
