Jeremy & Rachel

Our Story

Rachel's version . . .

Oh wow! Our story. Well I'll attempt to make it as appropriate as possible ;)

Jeremy and I started working at TD Canada Trust Easyline on October 4th, 2004. He hates me saying this, but others in the training class will vouch, all the women in the class fell in love with Jeremy that day. Jeremy told us how he volunteered working with homeless puppies at the Animal Rescue Foundation and on queue all the women in the class (including the trainer) said "aaaahhhh" at the same time! He also mentioned he was a hockey player, and Hockey Player + Dog Lover=True Love for Rachel.

It was a hard start for Jeremy and I, well to put things in perspective he got a taste of my bossiness on our first day on phones. Since Jeremy had worked with TD at the Branch I figured having him as a parnter would be a god-send for our first on-phone expereince. Me being the smooth talker, I said I would talk, and Jeremy would type. Our first call was for a foreign exchange quote and Jeremy didn't know where to go on the system. I won't go into detail but I shouted at him and after this we didn't really have a positive rapport with one another.

After months of me beating Jeremy on Team Campaigns (yes Honey, except for the GIC Campaign during 2005 RSP season) and only one to obtain the New Hire Resource position (me) the gap between us grew larger, and Jeremy's attitude towards me grew more hostile.

So in April of 2005 some friends had taken me out for a night of fun after attending the funeral of a close family friend. We ran into Jeremy at The Brass Door and let's just say he "woo'd" me with the assitance of Rye and Coke :)

Luckily we both had some days off before our next shifts together so we planned our first date as I (or perhaps both of us) wanted to clear the air before attending work together. Our first date consisted of Jeremy and his black lab Austin, meeting up with me and Cody at the Dog Park.

Boys are known to be mean to girls when they like them (or at least that's how it was in public school) and girls are known to become open to seduction when they're hammered. That's our story . . .

It all started in October, 2004 where we both started working at TD Canada Trust eBank and were in the same training class. Coming out of training Rachel was a Super Star winning every award and campaign and she quickly moved to the top. We were sitting beside each other one day and Rachel ask what I was up to on the weekend. I said I was going to the BRASS DOOR she said whats that??? I was pretty surprised when she came walking in around 11pm to a bar that she had never been before with a couple of friends.

This is where the stories are a little different. Rachel claims that her friends left her. A story that I thought only works in the movie Dazed and Confused . . . But I still fell for it. Rachel quickly seduced me with her tales of flexibility ;) I WAS VERY INTRUIGED. I drove Rachel home that night and decided to meet at the dog park the next day. When Rachel showed up in a 1980 Cadillac I knew I was in LOVE. We decided to go to a concert that night. We moved in together in the fall of 2005 and the rest is a fairy tale.
