My Dad is nervous about making a speech at the wedding and has asked for my help with this. Can anyone give me advice on this? Any suggestions for jokes or witty phrases that we could include in the speech? |

Hi, my dad is the same and he's got over a year to think about his. I think he's better to avoid jokes and instead tell a funny story about when you were little. |

Have you ever heard of Toastmasters? I've heard a lot of good responses from people who have been to a few meetings. They have groups all over the world that meet up to help people become better public speakers. They're a great place to go to gain confidence, style tips and comedic skills. And it's not high-pressure at all, just a meeting of peers. I think it's free to go to a meeting, and to become a member there is a small fee (like maybe $15 or $20.) The toastmasters website is www.toastmasters.org |
