Jeremy & Rachel

Wedding Party

It was not a hard decision choosing our Wedding Party. We chose those that are our closest friends, the people we could count on the most, and the people that would look best in the attire we have chosen for our wedding day :)

Below both Jeremy and I have taken the opportunity to introduce our Wedding Party: my bridal party including Steven, Sara, Emma and Ange; and Jeremy introducing 'his boys' Ryan, Jeff, Johnny, Justin and Carlos.

Steven Alblas

Steven and I met in 1983, shortly after his birth. I don't remember exactly where or when, but I do have slight memories of him being an infant. I loved him from the start! He's more like a brother too me than a cousin, and more like a best friend than a brother (although he does piss me off occassionally).

Sara Goudy

Sara and I met in 1986. We were both in the same JK class at Lord Nelson Public School. The only recollection I have of Sara in JK is I remember being on the climbers and somebody in the class say they didn't like her. I didn't give too much thought to Sara until we were in the same grade 1 class. Sara was an intriguing girl and (shock!) she kissed a boy named Jimmy Egerton under the plastecine table! A few short weeks into gr. 1 I moved to the same street (Garland Cres.) that Sara lived on. She came to my door and asked if I wanted to be her friend . . . I accepted the offer. To my luck I later found out she had a mountain (seriously it was a mountain) of toys in her Nana and Grandpa's basement!!!

Emma Hawton

I started work at Easter Seal Society in the Summer of 2003. A co-worker of mine was this funny blonde English chick who was reading books about being single at 30. I found her even funnier when she would say things like "bloody hell" and "knackered" all the time. Who was this girl?!? I had to find out.
It wasn't long (we're talking a day or two) into working at Easter Seals that I fell in love with Emma. She was this hilarious English girl who had experienced so much more in life than any other friend I have ever had . . . Plus she had an accent which was cool in itself. Along with some other summer employees at Easter Seals Emma and I made the most of our $6.85/hour salary. We would go out all the time, always dragging Steven along as my D.D. although he had to work at 7am in Ingersoll. Emma became the friend I had had all my life, even though we just met. She's taught me a lot in the last few years, including how to appreciate names like "Gucci" "Issey Miake" and diamonds so big they require a splint to wear them! She is truly one of a kind!!!

Angela Powers

I have never had a sister and when Jeremy proposed I immediately started calling Ange "Sis." If I could choose a sister, I probably wouldn't choose Ange because she's spoiled rotten and stubborn . . . like me! There must have been something in the water in February, 1982 that made us both this way. But unlike myself, Ange is full of sugar, spice and everything nice! She's a very generous girl, and is very easy to talk to. I feel like I can complain about anything to Ange and she just seems to understand. Ange is a very fun girl to hang out with and I love spending time with her! I can't wait for her to really be my sister . . . then she must love me regardless of my demands :)

Ryan Powers

I've known Ryan since his birth in December of 1985 my parents tell me that Ryan is my brother but sometimes I still don't believe them. Ryan and I are pretty much opposites, Ryan is impatient, easy to wind up and hot headed and I'm not he is also one of the unluckiest people I know. Although I enjoy winding him up on occasions he is the funniest and kindhearted person I know and would do anything for me if I asked him too and knows I would do the same. This is why he makes the perfect best man

Jeff Attard

Jeff and I have been friends since grade 2 we went to the same elementary school and high school we played hockey together and even had the same summer jobs. He is just one of those people that everyone likes from your Grandmother to that girl he met last night at the Bar. Jeff is the kind of person that make you be a better person and I hope that I've been as good of friend to Jeff that he has been to me.

Giovanni "Johnny" Conidi

I met Johnny in high school he is the only red headed Italian that I know. He has a dry sense of humor like no one else. I love having Jonny around because I'm always waiting for something to come out of his mouth. We went to high school together and then to Fanshawe and now work together but not sure for how much longer? I"m so happy to have known the 'other side' of Johnny.

Justin Pasichnyk

I have to start out by saying that Justin is by far the most generous and selfless person that I know. I met Justin at Fanshawe Collage in the financial planning program. We weren't friends immediately we were put in a group together for an assignment where we met at his apartment on a Wednesday night. After discussing the assignment what seemed like 10min we started drinking then went to the bar then I ended up crashing on his couch. Studying for an upcoming Taxation exam Justin suggested coming to his house in Delhi to study for the weekend. I don't think we got a lot of studying done that weekend but I did make a friend for LIFE.

Carlos Sousa

Losy has been around since high school and has always been the most mature one of the group. He was the first to move out (although not intentional) the first to move away from London, the first to start a career and most recently the first to open his own business (Losy design). He has always been a couple steps ahead of everyone else. He has a great scene of humor and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Rachel and I are honored to have Carlos be our MC and know he'll do a great job.
